Technical Superintendent to Floatel International

Floatel operate a modern fleet of accommodation and construction support vessels (floatels) for the oil and gas industry all over the world. We operate a modern fleet of five Semi-Submersible Accommodation vessels, designed to support the oil and gas industry wherever needed, and yes, also in the harshest offshore environments in the world.

You are a very good team member and like working together with other people in your own team and across the organisation, but you can deliver also when the pressure is high and its only up to you. You must be comfortable in a leading people and be able to take on that role when needed.
As Technical Superintendent in Floatel you will be the onshore responsible for the technical support to one or more of the vessels in the fleet. You work in the onshore Technical Department and at the same time closely with the crews offshore. We work in an ever-changing environment with very high uptime requirements and sometimes quite short decision horizons, so you will need to be fast problem solver and push for working solutions whenever required of you.
Your day-to-day business will be to budget, plan and follow up the technical operations for your vessel(s) and ensure compliance with Class, International Regulations and Company Standards. Various technical challenges requiring your immediate attention and action will be a natural part of your day.
Other than working with your vessels you will also be cross-fleet responsible for one or more technical systems or disciplines.
University degree in Marine engineering
Experience as Chief Engineer or First Engineer from Semi Submersibles
Good general knowledge of ship systems and technology
Good knowledge in relevant rules, legislation and practices for the offshore sector
Good knowledge in MS Office
Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
This is a fulltime, permanent position based in Gothenburg.
