We are currently hiring a full-time Account Manager with a maritime background and preferably B2B sales experience. This role presents an exciting opportunity for candidates who enjoy connecting with people globally and possess a positive, proactive attitude.

You will play a pivotal role in promoting sales, managing client relations, and driving business growth. In this position, you will also work closely with our dedicated marketing team to develop marketing strategies that align with company objectives. Responsibilities:

  • Client Relations: You will map out training needs together with potential and existing customers, create agreements supporting long-time cooperation. Your portfolio will include shipping companies of different sizes all over the world.
  • New Business Opportunities: Identify and nurture growth avenues, specifically in the maritime sector.
  • Partner Relations: Cultivate existing partner relations to drive strategic growth.
  • Marketing: Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop effective marketing.
  • Travelling: This role involves some travelling. You will visit potential customers and existing customers. Additionally, you will take part in international conferences and fairs.

Location:  Turku, Finland

Your Profile:

  • Educational Background: Relevant maritime or economic degree.
  • Language Requirements: Excellent proficiency in Swedish, Finnish, and English.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Aboa Mare Maritime Academy and Training Center currently has 400 maritime students at Axxell and Novia UAS, and offers continuing education courses to around 1,700 participants each year. Aboa Mare is also actively engaged in research and development and operates abroad through partnerships with training centres in Greece and the Philippines. The maritime education in Turku is the oldest vocational training in Finland – the Maritime Academy was founded 210 years ago, in 1813.
