To further strengthen our organization we are now looking for a Design manager – Naval Architect to join the design team at the Ship Design, Newbuilding & Innovation department.
About the position
In this position you will be responsible for stability and structural calculations in various feasibility studies, participate in the plan approval and design validation of newbuildings and to support the team and our customers with other project related calculations and studies. The position is based in Stockholm and travelling will be required from time to time.
Who are you?
Suitable background is Naval Architect with a Master’s degree, preferably with some years relevant working experience. You need to be a good team player with an analytical and creative mindset paired with a high interest for ship design and for the marine industry and its challenges. You have a solid understanding and genuine interest in programing, modeling, structural engineering and hydrostatic simulations as well as experience in for example Python, MATLAB, CAD-, FE- and hydrostatics software. It is an advantage if you have experience to produce technical drawings.
